Good job Dave, a polished documentary.
Worthy of HD next time.
Some fine casting from you both and bigger 'brownies' than we are used to in the UK.
I assume that they are native wild trout?
Thanks a bunch. The browns in NZ are not native but come from Europe back in the 1800s. We just returned from this year's fly fishing vacation and there certainly is more video footage coming from this trip!
Thank you Dave...I look forward to the polished product! If you have a moment search for "A RIVER OF DREAMS" a seven minute recollection of my Childhood exploits on the RIVER WYE, Derbyshire England.
Recently the stocked rainbows were delilberately fished out and now the native brown trout are beginning to flourish. Average size is presently about 1lb but they are growing. But NOT like those New Zealand monsters!
Nice one Dave! And unlike many clips I've seen, you managed to capture the all-important 'take'.
I'm new to vimeo, but have some stuff on youtube under struck2soon if you're interested in watching wild NZ browns on the dry fly. Without wishing to piss you off too much, I'm heading back to NZ in 3 weeks to do some more filming, sure will miss the northern winter!
cheers, Andy
