An open record public hearing for a proposed and approved addition and amendments to the Mount Vernon
Municipal Code for “Essential Public Facilities” such as, but not limited to:
*Solid Waste Transfer Stations (e.g. "Deluxe Dump" proposed for Sedro-Woolley)
*Treatment Houses
*Universities
*Sex Offender Facilities
*Airports
*Jails
The process also addresses “Secure Community Transition Facilities” for released felons. The governing state law (Revised Code of Washington [RCW] 36.70A.200) is available at tinyurl.com/5gt3ux
