CANTIMUTI plays with sound hiding it from the viewer. It focuses the audience's attention on faces, the most human part of the body. There is a certain taste of silent movies where images told everything without the need of spoken words, like in Murnau's films. The aim of Cantimuti is to go back to those images that (potentially) tell everything. Plain images without words burdening the sight. The sound is available on a different level, object of desire and mean of further discovery. The audience can choose/search it through the songs of the singing faces.
