5. Student News Team Steps Up on Election Night

While everyone else was watching the news on election night, student members of the Northwestern News Network (NNN) were busy making it.
NNN teamed with broadcast students from Columbia College and the City Colleges of Chicago to produce a one-hour report for public television station WYCC. Production of the show was headquartered at Medill’s broadcast studio in the McCormick Tribune Center and featured live student reports from Barack Obama’s election rally in Chicago’s Grant Park.
