After a six-year hiatus, the first lady of drum & bass, DJ Storm, finds her way HOME. A true legend of the scene, Stormʼs influence stretches back to the very foundations of drum and bass, representing Metalheadz across the world for almost two decades. With a hectic tour schedule lined up, 2010 saw her travel the world for the Metalheadz 15 year anniversary.
In 1994, Metalheadz was founded by Goldie, Kemistry and Storm, representing the futuristic sound of the UK, taking influences from hip hop, reggae, house and techno. Through their hard work, determination, respect and kindness, and of course their skills, the label has earned the global recognition it now possesses.
Leading the way as a role model for aspiring young female artists to break into an otherwise male-dominated scene, Storm, in 2004, set up a monthly night in the London nightclub Herbal. Bringing together the finest female talent in drum & bass with Storm, Flight, Alley Cat and Miss Pink as resident selectors alongside MCs Chickaboo and Deeizm, the collective has since gone from strength-to-strength and proved that the Feline formula is no gimmick in what is still a male-dominated scene. Feline continues to be a success worldwide, attracting an audience that is equally well mixed and musically open‐minded, as shown by their popular D&BTV Live sessions and showcase at Sardiniaʼs Sun & Bass festival in 2009.
A decade into the new millennium, FELINE & HOME come together to expose the female underground talent within Singapore.
