This tutorial shows how to make quality screengrabs under GNU/Linux.

The first part of the tutorial shows how to capture the desktop screen, using GTK-recordmydesktop and Jack audio system.

The second part of the tutorial shows how to edit the resulting files in Kdenlive video editor and render to h264, Vimeo recommended format.

Great! I thought that editing in linux is harder. Anyways... it's great to see how such an app is evolving and maybe one day kdenlive will be cross platform and will have more developers and compete at least with some professional suites

Thank you Jean Michel! I have been trying for weeks to make videotutorials with recordmydesktop and kdenlive with bad results for one reason or another. Now, your tutorial has enlightened me!! This is a videotutorial for making videotutorials! Just what I needed. Best Regards. Pablo.
