Most patients with opioid addiction also have problematic use of other substances including alcohol, stimulants, sedatives, and tobacco. For many patients stabilization of opioid addiction with buprenorphine in office-based practice also leads to a dramatic reduction in use of other substances. On occasion the use of other substances interferes with success of office-based buprenorphine.

Addressing problematic substance use in the context of office-based practice poses a number of challenges. This webinar will provide an overview of pharmacotherapeutic and behavioral interventions that could be used or adapted for office-based practice.
