J.C. Weliamuna is the Executive Director of Transparency International in Sri Lanka and an Attorney-at-Law. He and his family were lucky to escape with their lives when two grenades were thrown into their house, just a week or two after this interview was recorded.

Our discussion explored many facets of corruption in Sri Lanka, how it stunted Sri Lanka's development and contributed to violence as well as options to raise public awareness to effectively eradicate it from polity and society.
