wow...as a half cuban skater....who is so privileged to have new boards frequently, and just to be able to skate what I do...this made me hurt....I want to go to Cuba soon with the pile of 40+ decks on our back porch (I live in a skatehouse) and be santa clause for a day....plus I have yet to visit my people...but seriously great video thanks so much for opening me up I never knew there was a skate scene down in Cuba....as a skater for almost 10 years this video has changed my life a little bit

This supposed "blockade", also known as the embargo, by no means is a political tool. Cuba as a communist Island has debt issues, very severe debt issues! Cuba's paying history is not good, and the Castro family and Cuba's other leaders intend on not paying back whatever "trade" they execute with the U.S. They are seeking a credit relationship. Cuba must pay for good in cash. The U.S. is not denying aide or "goods", they just need full payment COD for any negotiations. Is this not how business is practiced world wide??

I truly understand the point of view of the girl, and the many who question the embargo, but there are certain things that should occur if the U.S. drops the embargo.

If the U.S. within their own economic "crisis" decides to trade, barter, and or sell goods to Cuba, wouldn't one expect that such political negotiations on behalf of the U.S. call for a reciprocated effort in part of the Cuban "government" to hold LEGITIMATE elections. You can't ask for open political practice, yet stay confined to communist tactics.

If the expectancy is to deal in terms of credit, you may as well give Cuba the stuff for free....that money will never come to the U.S. The true state of the Cuban currency is very poor, thus the use of American U.S. dollars is standard practice within the island.

And I may be wrong, but I do recall Cuba denying U.S. aide during those hurricanes last summer. What is making sense here...a "blockade" or a denial of humanitarian aide??

Too many conflicting issues, but the obvious facts are that Cuba has imprisoned and executed too many innocent people seeking freedom, and expression.
