My sincere thanks for creating such an inspiring piece. In addition to being amazing, it demonstrates that financial limitations are just an excuse for lazy people.

awww I am impressed, watching the video I was wondering how you realized the ice sculpture! such a nice work ! reading the comments, I was suprised it didn't take much than clay mold and soldering iron ! and a cheap cost for such a great result !
it must have taken quite a long time to mold the clay and to realize this impressive video though !
thanks for sharing your job !

Brilliant execution guys. Props for leaving out any direct relation to the "real" world and scale, it helped make it imaginable to live in a melty ice land some day :)

Hey guys, awesome job. Came across it when researching for my own idea. Im working with real ice as well as fake ice which can be done moulding/melting clear crystal beads in the oven which amazingly looks like real ice! Just wondering how you went about your lighting? It looks like you have drilled into the ice and inserted christmas lights? How did you stop the lights from water getting inside them?
  • LAMAR+NIK plus 6 months ago
go check out our youtube channel for the making of stuff. Can't remember if we included how we did the lights in them, but we used soldering irons to get into the ice, and then we had to wrap those lights in plastic. Other than that all of the other lights were TV's. What kind of lights are you using?
  • Jack Clark plus 6 months ago
Ah thanks! Well i thought about using solar lights or very low wattage lights if i was to try and light inside the ice. You've made the process easier thoe! Do you think a drill would be as easy as a soldering iron?
  • LAMAR+NIK plus 6 months ago
Well you'd have to go a lot slower with a drill so as not to crack or break the ice. And in terms of what lights to use, just remember that everything is going to be less reliable when it's inside some ice. haha

Speaking to the temporality of the city??
  • LAMAR+NIK plus 4 months ago
It's open to that interpretation. If you go read the "Houses" bio, the video will make a bit more sense.
