Pastor Randy Skeete started the evangelistic campaign "A New Day" at the University SDA Church, Los Angeles on 4/2/11. This crusade will continue till 4/23/11. Meetings are held every evening at 7 PM. In addition he will speak at the Sabbath worship services on 4/9/11, 4/16/11 and 4/23/11 at 11AM. This sermon, number 17 in the series, was presented on 4/16/11 at 11 AM during Sabbath worship service.
“Why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts arise in your hearts?” said Jesus to His disciples when He appeared to them after resurrection. God is not willing that His children should worry. Jesus allowed them to handle him so they would believe that Jesus is real. Are we troubled today? Do thoughts arise in our hearts? We need to handle Jesus ourselves to realize that Jesus Christ is real. He is God, He is man and he is real. God goes to lengths and lengths to convince us that God is real, and Satan goes to lengths and lengths to convince us that God is not real and if he cannot convince us that He is not real then he tries to convince us that he is cruel. The disciples should not have doubted Jesus because he told them on multiples occasions that He would rise on the third day (Mark 8:31, 9:31 and 10:34). They should have believed in the word of God. When you and I do not place our faith in the word of God, we expose ourselves to unnecessary worry. More…
