The iMovie magnetic timeline
A little digging around the iMovie timeline reveals it's got a lot in common with the upcoming Final Cut Pro X. After detaching audio you can get behaviors like the Magnetic Timeline that was shown in the FCP X "sneak preview." Also the connection indicator lines between audio and video look very similar. There's also live waveform previews and a built-in "keyframe dot" for adding an audio fade.
