Within the frame of the DanSCe Dialogues project, French choreographer Delphine Caron crossed the Channel for a week long residency at the Barbican Theatre, Plymouth, and at Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth.
This was the opportunity for the choreographer to lead personal researches for a future work, and also to introduce the young English professionals and school audiences to different aesthetics and practices, in particular those of “Poppin’ Boogaloo,” a speciality developed and utilised by Delphine Caron.
DanSCe Dialogues has been selected within the context of the European programme of crossborder cooperation Interreg IV A France (Channel) – England, co financed by ERDF.
Led by ODIA Normandie, the Artistic Information and Development Office of Normandy, in partnership with Dance South West, Bournemouth (Dorset, UK), the Centre chorégraphique national of le Havre Haute-Normandie and the Centre chorégraphique national of Caen Basse-Normandie, DanSCe Dialogues focuses on the development of a long-term structuring partnership between England and France in the field of contemporary dance, for the benefit of its artists/dancers, producers and performance venues, administrative staffs and audiences, for the entire 2010-2011 season.
