Thanks Brian. It was a campfire. I also uploaded a different movie.

Cool clip Joey, even though I'm not into guns.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
Thanks Dan. I only get to shoot them about 2 times a year. Enough to keep me sharp on them incase the Zombies take over.

Nice one. Have I seen AK47 (mod) and M1?. Great colors.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
    Thanks Viperos.
You are correct on both .

I like this one even better now that you've re-edited it. I'm not keen on firearms myself, but that does look like a fun way to chill out :)

Like Rick said though - you really should wear eye protection (well I would say that as a Health & Safety Officer ;-)

    Nice video bud :)
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
It's lots of fun, but now it is more expensive than the old days.

Very nice color grading. Did you use Magic Bullet?
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
Thanks, I just did a quick adjustment on the color correcting wheels in Vegas.

Best quality shooting video ever! :) Good job. If you're ever in the Seattle area drop me a line and we'll go shoot.

I know you would love to have a Phantom HD wouldn't you? You would make some great stuff! Awesome video!
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
    Thanks Kyle

The Phontom would be awesome but it's about $2,500 a day to rent. I almost rented a B&W 1000fps HD cam one time but it was still $500 a day.

BTW waht are you doing for a cam right now? Didn't you sell your HV20?
  • Kyle Shields 1 year ago
Yeah plus the equipment needed to use the cameras, it just cost way to much. I hope I get to film high speed one day, that would be awesome (speaking of this, have you ever seen the show "Time Warp" on Discovery?). Yeah I did sell my HV20 and I have no camera at the moment, it sucks. :(

Great colors, timelapse, slow mo, slo mo on a fast moving subject--you were all over the board with this one-yah...good video, man.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
Thanks hoop. Ya I just taped a few things. I wish I had taped more.

No animals were injured during the shooting of this video! :)
    Love the colors!
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
    Thanks Pierre
  •
  • What camera are you using for the slomo?

haha... that's my kind of trip to the desert. Guns and remote control cars...all that was missing was a timelapse of you guys guzzling beer.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
I filmed it all with my HV20 except the timelapse which was with the 40D. It was a fun short trip, I didn't even get to shoot all my guns.

The timelapse I shot raw. I got way more details but always the night shots with a blue sky like that one I get banding no matter how I render it.

Lucsberg - I really like that crop mate... great into, and choice of music to go with this... a real sense of something about to happen before the shooting scenes.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
    Thanks Keith.

I have really been enjoying your tilt shift videos.

mad !!!!! was that a 303 ? only in the USA that could be legal , sweet guns!!! love the slow mo !!!
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
Thanks Brett, one was mosine nagant, and the other was a M1 garrand. Actually I live in one of the few states where I can't own most of the fun guns, but I did get one my AK before the ban.
  •
  • Nick Jones 1 year ago
what type of ak was that?
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
Just your basic stamped sheetmetal variety.
  •
  • aaroneous 1 year ago
Oh man, I'm jealous of that M1 Garand. Gotta get me one of those some day. Of course I'd never be able to afford to shoot it with the cost of ammo these days. Great video.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
My brother inlaw bought that M1 and it was awesome. Im more of a tactical guy but that vintage gun was pure American badassery. Ammo is way to pricey these days. I sed to just blow 30rnd clips for nothing. Thanks Man.

great use of soft musical element to accompany powerful artillery. where you using a steadicam at 1:15?
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
Thanks Andrea, Actually I just kneeled down and swung my body around as it drove by. I pre twisted to get more panning room.

That was great! I'm really feeling the 2.35:1. I'm assuming you crop the footage and then export. But what exact settings do you export in? Is their a certain pixel size? Thanks!
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
I just realized I didnt hit reply
    Thanks Adam
Crop it to the cam size then render the same size if you dont want the black bars.
1920x816 1.0 pixel size. That wa the closest I could get to 2.35:1 in Vegas 7 for rendering.

Nice, I'm into firearms myself and I think i've rarely (if ever) seen firing guns, shot on video so tastefully.
Fix the feeding problems on your M1 though ;)
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 1 year ago
    Thanks
It's my brother in-law's M1 but I think he fixed the problem. He said he was using the same clip over and over and it was slightly tweaked. The other clips he tried worked fine.

Cool, though next time I think you should film people shooting at the remote control buggy ;).

We were going to try to talk him into it haha

After seeing this Im inspired to do some filming of my friends shooting their guns, as well as all their other country backwoods shenanigans! Great Video!

I bet it will be fun.

Man, at 1:56 it looked like a crime movie scene :D

    Stunning quality, great work.

I appreciate it when someone tries to do something different with gun-related videos. Though I was a bit creeped out by the earlier scenes where you were obviously hand-holding the camera downrange of the shooters. Very dangerous.

Oh man, awesome. That looked like a great day. I love the final shot with the shotgun, very cool angle and feel.

your cameraman was a lil too close to the line of fire... ha

nice video, the kickback on that auto shotgun is crazy!

What I love about your videos is that you have a great intuition for what soundtrack goes well. That pan shot with the remote controlled car is golden! Without the antenna and no background cues it would be possible to pose it as not even a toy. Seriously, with your talent and seeing you shoot I think it would be sweet if you made some short film where you blast away zombies or something regarding a B.A. character.

Nice Video. It looks like you've slowed the video down, but then again, I'm only an amateur at filmmaking. They shell casings looks like they are slowly flowing through the air.
  • Lucasberg (Joey) plus 4 months ago
    Thanks Eriks
    I slowed it down 50%.
