My first music video, no-budget, feedback is appreciated! The song can be described as hard, fast and relentless. I tried to achieve the same effect visually by using fast cuts, high contrast and a desaturated distorted image.
Equipment: Canon HV20 w/ Tokina wide-angle lens, a regular construction lamp for primary lighting and some basic house lights.

Do you have shots from different angles? Seems like a good song to apply angles from different views. If the space is limited sometimes mirrors can do the trick. They are tricky to light shooting in mirrors but you can achieve flash fx in camera,. Some mirrors can give you a distorted effect as well. It's a good beginning.
I agree some effects are pretty random, although I tried to cut on the beat. The flicker is done using a wiggler expression if I remember correctly, since I wasn't sure how to get it to match with the beat in the timeframe I had. I recently learned about a plugin called SoundKeys which will make it easier to match effects to the sound.
Different angles would have looked better indeed but there was no space for me to stand other than where I did. Mirrors are a great idea! Will definitely try that the next time.
