XLR-2 second static test
Copenhagen Suborbitals - second static test of the XLR-2 hybrid rocket booster.
The engine burned for its nominal time, and electronic measurements of its pressures was recorded from the N20 tank, and in the top and bottom of the combustion chamber. We saw again some combustion instability, and observed that this is directly linked to the injector pressure drop. One more test is planned in the near future to get to the bottom of the instability issue. Secondary, the aft o-ring seal leaked. Modifications on instrumentation and N20 valve was successfully validated.
