An adaptation of a scene from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins for my Intermediate Directing class at Point Park University.

This is a young adult, post-apocalypic novel where all that's left of the US are 12 very rationed districts. To keep the people from rebelling, the Capitol holds a televised tournament every year in which two kids from each district are selected by lottery to participate in a gladiator-like fight in a forest arena for weeks. (A cannon is shot whenever a tribute is killed.) This scene happens in the midst of the game, right after Katniss has found Peeta injured. She goes off hunting to find food, when she realizes something is wrong...
