Jean Quist plays a straight metal contrabassclarinet made by Leblanc.
The contrabassclarinet is miked. Preamp and AD conversion: Focusrite Saffire Pro. No effects except some reverb.
Bram Stoeken plays strings and piano via a midi keyboard (Emu) The violin, viola, cello and double bass sections are layered over the keyboard range. Standard Native instruments Kontakt ensembles tuned for his playing style. The grand piano is the excellent NI Kontakt Vienna Extrabass.
Frank Kooistra plays all other sounds & percussion from his monophonic WX5 windcontroller. The controller triggers Physical models in several instances of Native Instruments Reaktor.
All software instruments are coupled in Kore and each player gets his own headphone mix.
Reverb is generated by Reflektor.
