This piece was produced for the Oxford Plains Speedway - Oxford Championship Series Awards Banquet on November 15.

It came together very quickly and we called on the Voice of OPS, Kalle Oakes to recap the year's highlights on-camera for us. Our plans to shoot on the track changed slightly on shooting day when the weather turned cold and blustery, and Kalle called in to saying that he was under the weather. To his credit, Kalle came in anyway and we shifted the shooting location indoors, but without the benefit of professional lighting. We dragged a tall shop light out of the back room and cobbled it all together.

What Kalle gave us was truly remarkable. His encyclopedic knowledge of the season's details provided an articulate description of the year's events.

Editing was done under a two day deadline. Since the piece is 15 minutes long, it's rather highly compressed to get under the 500MB limit so there are some artifacts.

Kalle also recapped the details of many of the top drivers' seasons in the three series that there wasn't time for in this segment. I'm hoping to put that together on a DVD/BD for those who might want it.
