I don’t know how many times I’ve had this argument with people over the years. I think I’ve presented the facts quite clearly. If you actually follow my logic I think you’ll come to the correct conclusion.

    I think calling a burger a sandwich is American. In Australian English we never describe a burger as a sandwich because it is in a bread roll and not sliced bread. If you went to Subway we would never describe what they sell as sandwiches in Australia because they use bread rolls.

    Also Burger King is called Hungry Jacks in Australia.
