The Qur'an is the single text that binds over a billion people across the world. Adored by Muslims not only because of its sacred status, but because of its depth of meaning and unique literary form, grammarians, theologians, mystics and philosophers alike have been captivated by its literary grace and subtle allusions. In a tradition that stretches back to the very revelation of the book itself, many Muslims commit the Qur'an in its entirety to memory, and are able to recite it perfectly by heart. It is estimated that the number of such individuals alive today is in the order of tens of millions.
This film is dedicated to them.
