This is the launch of STS 126 in Hi Def rendering. It was taken on the crawlerway 2.9 miles from the pad. The ripple effect as the shuttle goes through a thin cloud layer is not an artifact on the video. It was clearly visible with the naked eye as you can tell by the reaction of the rescue support forces I was with for the launch.
