The Agile approach to development has existed in several forms since the mid-1990s. Only recently, though, has it become more mainstream within the Federal government. As IT programs are coming under heavy scrutiny to deliver tangible results using shorter development cycles, the adoption of Agile approaches, such as XP or Scrum, is proving to have positive impacts on program success.
The agenda for this program is meant to provide attendees with a brief and meaningful education on Agile, and to provide open dialogue with industry and government on the challenges and benefits of using the various Agile approaches for implementing IT initiatives.
We will highlight case studies ranging from organizations that are in the early adoption stages of using Agile to organizations that are well versed and have made it a standard. Each will discuss their progress with using Agile, sharing their perspective on how best to leverage this emerging trend in IT systems development and management.
