Love the contrast between day and night, climbing and descending. With the music it really captures the flow and spirit of snow sports. Great work to put this together in such a smoothly edited and integrated clip in just a week. Let's see more like this.

Yep only 7 days from start to finish. We'd love to come to Europe. Skiing in the alps is a journey we haven't been on and must at some point!
Thanks everyone for the comments. We appreciate it tremendously.

That layering effect is hard to pull off without being cheezy. But you nailed it. Inspired choice of shots and pace.

The comps with the stills and video was shockingly well done. Grabbed my attention.

what a treat your SSki movie is for the coming season, thank you, good camera, great music, great editing, beautiful intro with snow and waterfall, very creative and inspiring, great scenery with the big city in the background(vancouver?), i loved the smoking boot @5:50, @1.44 the guy in red pants going uphill has a good pace, @2.10 uh uh good reaction, SSkiing in trees is fun and the snow is mostly good protected from winds(here in the alps), @2.16 yeah take care of your feet, @2:39 and 4.05 i love sky shots, @5 what a light, nice SSki lines, shot in only 7 days, the only complain is too male oriented and calling a SSki movie Parallel should have no showboarders in it. next time engage some girls, show besides their elegant SSkiing also close ups of their smile and your movie will be even more succesful. playing in the mountains, yeah, i do this since 30 years as a SSki instructor in Flims and Davos Switzerland and please make another one and thank u again for the pleasure
  • Dendrite Studios plus 2 months ago
thanks artZeug. We really wish we had more girls in it...that is something we continue to work on. As well, the title Parallels is not in reference to two-planks (skis) being parallel, it is in reference to the parallel experiences found when playing in the mountains regardless of backcountry, inbounds, snowboarding, skiing, or park; however, we realize the flaw in this title and that this point did not effectively come across. thanks for watching. I love davos! I was there for an ISSW conference put on by the SLF and have many friends in that wonderful town.
