This was Tuesday evening, 11th November 2008. Greg Walker & Martin Rees had prepared the outside of the workshop for a clean run outside. No doubt, this was going to be the first drive around the yard, dark or no dark. Never mind that the headlights point to the right.

You might have spotted that we've got a camera on the dashboard instruments. There's a lot going on with this car, & it's hard to keep an eye on everything when it's all happening. It gets kinda busy, although the video might make you think otherwise.

Anyway, we thought we'd do a short run in the workshop before the grand drive around the block.

What do they say about the best laid plans? ...

Suffice to say, on the de-brief it was clear that we really weren't getting oil into the valve guides.

First attempts were to flush the oil lines removing any air locks with eveything left in-situ. That failed, so out on the bench with it all. Several weeks later, we do seem to be getting good oil feed pressure, and it's all back in the car. Hopefully we'll have a drive around the yard shortly.
