On March 19th, as part of the grand opening of the Kadist Foundation's West Coast HQ and an early office warming for THE THING Quarterly's new office location in the Mission district of San Francisco, THE THING partnered with Kadist and The Curiosity Shoppe, to host our third ever Parallel Black Jacks tournament using Ryan Gander and Europa's Issue 9.
The tournament used the same rules as the tournament at the Berkeley Art Museum and the Lisson Gallery tournament in London last year. The winner received a total cash prize of $200 from THE THING and Kadist and a $50 Gift Certificate from the Curiosity Shoppe.
