im TA'ing for a bunch of highschool art history class (they call the program precollege - i guess it's like what you did in chicago), and one of the teachers was talking about the pantheon on the first day of class - she was saying it's now owned by the vatican, so it's full of christian sculptures, but before that it was filled with all the roman gods, and as the sun moved across the sky, and the light went through the oculus, the statues of the gods were align in such a way that in the course of a day, light would eventually shine upon all of the gods, except the god of darkness... or something like that
