Integrated Visions Productions and National Media Services have a vision for the future of projection advertising and videomapping as an advertising product, underscored by a belief that videomapping technology can be deployed in a low cost, guerilla manner. On Sunday, April 17, IVP and NMS executed a 3 building guerilla videomapping project. IVP identified all three sites in advance and created a single narrative that was adapted to the unique features of each building. Once on site at each location, IVP and NMS staff set up a projector and adapted the custom template to each building within 20 minutes of arrival. IVP and NMS projected at each location for a minimum of 30 minutes.
This project is a world's first; to date, no other group has videomapped multiple buildings in a single market on the same night. In the US, there are virtually no examples of guerilla videomapping at all. In addition, two of the three buildings used were in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, one of the busiest in the city, and one of the most desirable for advertisers. Guerilla videomapping is here!
