After being inspired by Eric Lodwicks Cup Routine, and these gals, I spent a long and uneventful day at work developing this routine. I feel slightly unsure about uploading this clip, because I know the level of obsession I went to in trying to get it right. It was hard because they were paper cups, and I feel like it's all showmanship and no soul... Plus my flashy ending didn't even work.

Hahaha that's awesome! It looks really good. Way better than anything I could ever come up with. When we did that cup thing, we thought we were pretty cool. Yours is defintiely cooler than ours.

It's a very talented little composition. I have to say though (and I'm being completely biased, yours is absolutely fantastic because it's just so talented) I love Eric's. Probably just because it was Eric doing it. Eric, will you learn this one and do it? Actually no, you probably have a life. Who would sit around watching Vimeos trying to learn how to do a cup trick? Not me, that's for sure.

That was really impressive. I like how you took the original idea and expanded it.

Eric told me that originally, when they'd do this at camp, at the end of the cycle they would pass the cup to the person next to them, kind of like an assembly line. I'd love to see that.

No way man, I've put the cups to rest. I don't wanna turn into one of those people who spends all their spare time learning Zippo/pen tricks, I quite like my life. Maybe I'll just find more people whose talents I can steal!

I can do that now Si. Once you get the hang of being able to throw the cup to the other hand without completely stuffing it up, it's just a matter of getting the rest of it in time. I rule! I'll film myself doing it at some point to show you.

i used to play cups at camp too.
i think i have a video of it somewhere.
there is something like 50 of us at this long table passing cup after cup.
its pretty amazing in the useless abilities portion of life.
