In 1979, one of the first Girl Band Punk Rockers "CandyApple," back from tour, performed four cuts from their "Brats Rock" CD on The Christy Show. According to Manhattan Cable TV, this show drew the most viewer reaction, outnumbering the better known "Catholic Girls" appearance a few weeks prior. The drummer from "CandyApple" went from The Dirt Club in New York to the Keep Your House Clean maven, Martha Stewart as cohost on Sirius Satellite Radio (also NJ101.5FM and The Breeze 105FM). "CandyApple" toured nationally, but reportedly broke up in 1983 after a disagreement with their manager. As proponents of great early stylized punk music, "CandyApple" is archived here courtesy of Vimeo and Carlson International. In addittion, in the 9.02.09 re-edit, Christy performs her single from 1978, "Spellbound" and finds out from CandyApple the girl band's definition of "Instinction" (their chart single) and "Brat Rock."Rock on!
