On April 20, 2011, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) was informed by the Southern Theater in Minneapolis that an upcoming performance featuring new music developed through the ICElab program, scheduled for April 26 at the Southern, would be canceled due to severe financial difficulties at the theater.
On April 26th, at 7:30pm, the musicians of ICE recorded their concert to HD video at their Brooklyn studio as a service to the ticket-buyers who were unable to see the ensemble perform live.
