Here is my response to that idea.

I have purposely not added a cast as the cast is really everyone at Vimeo. I also used everyone's clips and do not intend to pass them off as my own... so if you like what you see and you happen to be in the video, add yourself to the cast. Hell, even if your not in it...add yourself to the cast anyway if you like it --you are what makes this place great!

If you hate it, I'm sorry and I promise to do better in the future.

To those not in it, I hope to meet you all real soon.

So here's a tribute to everyone I've got to know so far and to all those yet to come.

This is not my video... but yours.

That's what's really cool about this site--you get to see and experience things you may not usually do and meet people like yourself who like to be creative. Although I haven't met anybody on this site in person, I really have a feel for who everyone is and what they might be like.

Wow, thank you for this. I love your take on the creative expressions through video being the submissions themselves.

It makes me rethink the multiplicity of each video - how interpretation and shared experience make this social environment very different from other online sites.

Thanks for the great idea. This one was fun and I could have spent way more time on it. I always have the problem of wanting to spend more time on these but usually I get too impatient because I can't wait to post...

The great thing about this site is EVERY video is a creative piece, no matter how long or what it may be about. You really see it when you piece them together in a video like this.

I also like the way many of the clips just happened to synch up with some of the bits in the music!

Yeah, those guys at CV added that squirrel, or is he a chipmunk--i'm not sure. That clip of theirs is pretty damn funny! It really says alot about how much fun they have doing their job.

Yes, it has consumed whatever free time I had left in my already busy life, however I think that I'm better because of it. It's fun to push your creativity on a daily or weekly basis--keeps you sharp! It's been fun sharing everyone's "life".

BTW, your spoof on that commercial cracked me up so much that my wife and I bust up laughing every time we see the original. That video of Jakob on a train trip was the very first video I ever saw here. Once I saw it I thought to myself that this (making personal videos) was something I just needed to do and be a part of.

Wow... coming from the guy who made the guy who helped make this cool site happen, I am truly honored by that comment.

At the time I made that those were the people that had made my Vimeo experience so much fun and enjoyable. I have made so many interesting contacts--that's what makes this place so special--creative people being creative/sharing creativity and offering up a strong sense of community.

You should be so proud of Jakob and the team around him that make ventures like this so fun and successful and allow all of us to push our creativity!

Luckily all the "bells and whistles" in this video came from the clips i chose for the edit. It really just became a fun puzzle to move the clips to the best part of the song suited for that clip. It actually takes a lot of pressure off the edit when you have so many excellent clips to choose from. I really don't want to take credit for any of the creative content except for the idea of the tribute that this is intended to be. Everyone at this site is what make coming to Vimeo everyday fun exciting and enjoyable.
