“You have to have someone to walk this journey with you hand in hand spiritually.”
In her conversation with Felisha Himes, Mary Jane Wilson, the mother of four, talks about her experiences with breast cancer at MD Anderson. Being dropped as a client by her doctor, she waited for an entire year to begin treatment. However, the “beautiful journey” has been an “amazing experience” so far. With the help of her children, who have been a great support to her, Bible class, faith and her scriptures, she has maintained her good spirits and belief, advising other patients to not be “mad or disgusted or upset – God has equipped you with everything you need to go on this journey.”
