I decided to capture a few Japanese scenes via time-lapse photography using my canon 7d and a timer remote
while i moved around the place. There's always something happening or moving,
Tokyo is such a busy place, Its busy but its beautiful, the people the lights, the whole feel
about the place. I don't normally like busy public places but Tokyo is a different busy.
You set the remote to around 4-6 second intervals then sit and wait,
you get 10 photos a minute and played back at 25fps or (photos per sec)
you need to wait around 15 to 20 mins to get a 5 to 10 seconds time-lapse.
The shot of the famous busy Shinjuku intersection was actually shot from Star bucks coffee,
there were no photo signs everywhere as the whole window was perfect viewing point night and
day of the crazy intersection. So i got a coffee and waited around 20 mins to get a seat in front of
the window. I then sneakily set my camera up under my chair and put my jacket over it while i drank my
coffee really slow.
the locations are below
The busy intersection is Shinjuku
The shots from high up looking down on the buildings and streets in daylight and night are Tokyo city
The shots in the mountains are at a place called Galla Yuzawa
The shots looking up the St were in Kyoto and the night one is in Osaka
A few time-lapses of my favorite place Japan..
Shot on canon 7d + timer remote.
Tilt shift done in post.
