this is a little video showing how the surface's touch system works. there are cameras similar to a scanner, light sensitive to touch. very different from the way the iphone touch screen works (via sensing difference in electrical current from your fingers on the screen).

its good in that it can scan documents and words and QR codes, but its bad because other light shining on it also acts as a touch.
