An Intelligent Healing Space in both 3D and 2D using simulated gravity. This video demonstrates a higher and lower dimensional experience of the same information gathered by the KINECT. The initial 3D view represents the depth information from the Kinect. In the 2D version, the Kinect's view is projected and mapped onto a nearly 2D surface in the physical world. Rotation of the perspective is now only possible if the camera itself is free to move. The small green spheres orbit my right hand as if they were planets orbiting a wildly moving sun. Each sphere actually simulates an acceleration through curved spacetime by adhering to Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation, which states that every point mass in the universe attracts every other point mass with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. For each sphere orbiting my hand, I used Newton's formula to calculate that force, such that: Force = Gravitational Constant * Mass of Sphere * Mass of My Hand Divided by the Square of the distance between them.
