Very cool! I would love some more info on your build details... is it in sections for transport? Is your control all mechanical? How has it stood up to the abuse of shooting in water and sand? I am building a lightweight crane for shooting backcountry in snow. I would love to learn from some of your experience!

Control is mechanical, just 4 strings of kite wire.

it is detachable withe adjusable nuts and bolts ((spanners) The boom is from a old windsurfpole. 2 sections.
External Lcd panel from a portable dvd player and your off, what you see on lcd in front of you you shoot.
So the steeringboard = exactly same movement as cam

Abuse in sand was perfect, abuse in around water, Not tried yet.
