Myth is a perilous thing to pursue. It transforms fact into fantasy, and danger into the promise of wealth.

Inheritance is a senior thesis computer animated short film made by Cliff Schonewill.

The goal of this piece is less story oriented and more to demonstrate imagination and skills associated with the job I hope to have as a 3D modeler working on amazing projects in films and games. For this reason, I chose to create a window into a larger story and setting - to leave people wondering more than to create a story that fully completes itself.

Synopsis: After years of searching, a thief named Alurbaz finally finds the secret entrance to the tomb of the legendary Cobalt King. He has followed a forgotten myth about a relic of strange power, the cobalt soul, seeking to claim it as his own.

Dude insane stuff! esp if you did this all yourself. superb! The music is perfect, but I would seriously consider having an audio guru do the foley and soundFX, it was more distracting than helpful. But it's not THAT important given the quality of this Piece. Good stuff

Thanks for the comment, Will! Yeah, I'm aware on the sound effects - I was so busy on everything else that sound really took a hit, due to the amount of effects needed in this piece. There are already so many things I had to do - were it a different situation I totally would have!
