Arjun Appadurai, born in Bombay, teaches social science at the New School in New York.
He is one of the most renowned contemporary anthropologists. His book „Fear of Small Numbers: An Essay on the Geography of Anger“ takes a look at the two sides of globalisation. He works as consultant for the UNESCO an publishes the magazine “Public Culture”.
