My first AVCHD test with a friend's Canon HF10.

Pretty amazing file sizes but oh boy, what a hassle converting! VoltaicHD converted MTS file to Quicktime H264 but it did not play smoothly in Quicktime Player. Transcoding to H264 in ffmpeg didn't work but DivX did then play smothly (having to add audio manually). No doubt process will simplify but probably best to steer clear of any editing requirements until your editing package supports this natively. Which will probably require meatier hardware than you have now!
