Hey. To be honest, we only received 1 e-mail inquiry from these TVCs - and that didn't result in anything. They did generate a lot of awareness in our area but that's about it.

We got a great deal from the TV station - otherwise I'd be pretty disappointed with the results. TV advertising (and even TV itself) is a dying institution - there are better ways to generate interest in your brand IMHO.

What do you do about the music in your videos? Isn't that illegal? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just really curious in how you go about dealing with that type of stuff.

Hey James. In Australia we can pay an annual fee to an organisation called APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association). This takes care of music used in wedding videos etc ... The music in these TV commercials is from a friend's band, Fatis Valour - otherwise we'd have to use royalty free music which wouldn't be anywhere near as cool.

Hey Matt, I wanted to ask you, on the XH A1, do you actually need a DOF adapter to get really shallow DOF or does the lens that comes with the camera good enough?
