Prior to the founding of the Free Methodist Church B.T. Roberts begin a publication called “The Earnest Christian”. In it he and others begin to lay out many of the principles and values that lead to the formation of the Free Methodist Church. The Earnest Christian continued on as a publication as well as a challenge to members of the church on how they should live out their faith. Today as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Free Methodist Church we bring back that early phrase "The Earnest Christian" and look at what that can mean for us today as we look ahead toward a new era of the movement called the Free Methodist Church.
