I filmed Brazilian artist, Claudio Ethos, while he was painting his first Los Angeles piece.
It was shot on Main Street in downtown L.A. during April, 2011. I happened to notice the cherry picker from through a hedge and, having seen a partial face on the building wall earlier, thought that a construction worker was preparing to remove street art. I started to film because I thought it would be interesting to capture the destruction of a large piece of art so high up in the air.
But the worker was behaving strangely and then of course I realized that it was the painter. He kept looking over at me and I was preparing to run away at one point. But then I waved and he came down and we spoke for a little. I liked him. So this is my little art film.
