This is the result of a charity project I contributed to in 2005. "Life For Linda" was started by Sarah Outwater and a group of volunteer music majors at Arizona State University. Sarah is blind from a childhood battle with a rare form of cancer called metastatic retinoblastoma that primarily affects children. Starting in the retinas of their eyes, the cancer can spread quickly and cause death if not treated. Sarah learned of a little girl who was battling the same cancer she had when she was young, and her mother hadn't the means to pay for the expensive treatment. Gathering a group of volunteers of various backgrounds, (I was a graduate student in educational technology by this time), we put on a couple of benefit concerts to raise money for the family. I found out through various channels that this was going on. I had the time, the will/drive and offered my still-developing media technology skills to create and contribute to the project website lifeforlinda.org. This was the last video made for the Life for Linda project. It was shown at the last benefit concert. It sums up the essence of what the participants and volunteers experienced. It was at this concert that it was announced that Linda was declared cancer-free.
