engAGE TV Episode 1
DCTV's new series for older people that is being screened weekly in May and monthly in June and July. Presented by Sue Russell, the episodes include 6 physical exercise videos, a look at 6 different Get Vocal groups around the country as well as studio interviews with a variety of people that engage with a range of Age & Opportunity's programmes. The production process was designed collaboratively between DCTV, Age and Opportunity and the different local advocacy groups included in the series.
This first episode of engAGE TV features a 'Warm Up' physical activity session and an interview with Mary Harkin who runs the Go For Life programme in Age & Opportunity. We also chat to Paul Maher who outlines the thinking behind Get Vocal before having a look at a video made by the County Wexford Age Equality Network that shows what they get up to. Finally, we have a chat to Sinead about upcoming events in the Bealtaine Festival and find out about Cultural Companions from Emma Connors. We hope you enjoy the series!
