The Mango, the Spanish fashion brand more internationally, presents the new campaign to promote the fourth edition of the El Boton – Mango Fashion Awards, a competition which aims to enhance and increase the international projection of the new talents in fashion.

In this new edition Mango launches a provocative message emerging designers to “create your revolution, ” a call to become true revolutionaries in the fashion of shapes, colors, trends, and spot … The graphic composition are contextualized an environment of ambiguity, bear the stamp of the prestigious filmmaker and photographer Eugenio Recuenco and are favored by Andrej Pejic, one of the major current models on the international scene.

Andrej Pejic, exception model and known for its ambiguity, has revolutionized the canons between female and male. The model most in demand by fashion designers in the fashion world is in fact a man and this game is exactly what became the most desired by the big fashion brands, as well as the most important editorial in the world.

Eugenio Recuenco, in turn, is one of the most important names in fashion and advertising photography of today. The brands and the world’s major publications such as Vogue, Woman, Telva, Vanity Fair, Madame Figaro, Yves Saint Laurent, L’Oreal and Loewe, among many others, often resort to it for campaigns and editorials.

After the success obtained in the last editions, “el Botón”-Mango Fashion Awards, whose aim is encouraging and promoting the International projection of young fashion talents, is launching its 4th edition with the support of five international design schools of great prestige in Europe and the online platform Not Just a Label.

In the previous editions the jury of “el Botón” counted on two exceptional presidents, the renowned designers Valentino and Oscar de la Renta. On 20 October, the famous designer, Jean Paul Gaultier, the President of the Jury of the 3rd edition of the contest, announced the name of the absolute winner during the Final Ceremony held in the MNAC of Barcelona.

The el Botón-Mango Fashion Awards offer young designers throughout the world the opportunity to participate in an international fashion design competition. The competition, which takes place every 18 months, has the support of five of the most important design schools in Europe. The aim of this event is give young designers access to a new media platform, as well as the opportunity to market their collections.

The five fashion design schools acting as co-organisers are: the Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design (London); the Escola Superior de Disseny, ESDi (Barcelona); Institut Français de la Mode (Paris); Istituto Marangoni (Milan-Paris-London) and Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerpen (The Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp). These schools will form part of the Jury, which will shortlist the 10 finalists out of the 50 candidates previously selected by the Mango Committee.
