Sometimes a Gawker site will push you to a different Gawker site, and I'm guessing it costs them lots of pageviews.

I hit a similar thing all the time. Someone sends me a link to a gawker property. I click it and I'm redirected to the uk sub-domain where the link doesn't work. WHICH IS AWESOME.
