THE AGEING YOUNG REBEL is a short film produced in 2000. Its soundtrack is given by the song of the same name (recorded by the trip-hop group DJ Food, with narration by famous voiceover artist Ken Nordine). The film dramatizes the events outlined in the song: a young punker, What's-his-name, searches for his place in life but finds only violence and cruelty from all corners.

DIRECTOR'S COMMENTS:
--------------------------------------------------------
Most notably, I feel that REBEL is our first film with real integrity. I mean, until now we've just been messing around trying to learn the basics. But I think we've got a pretty good understanding of that stuff now, so with this film I wanted to do something serious: with less flash effects and more story and character development. Also, the song the film is based on is an absolutely brilliant piece of darkly funny irony, so we had a beautiful starting point. I think we succeeded in bringing it to life, but you can decide for yourself…

Technical Notes: This was the first film I did on my new FireWire editing system at home. It was edited with Adobe Premiere. I shot it on my miniDV camcorder.
