SEED SPREADER is triggered into motion by the decomposition of a single twig. The sculpture is assembled and wound by the artist in a physically laborious performance. Once tension is built to a climax, Andreas replaces his physical energy/force with a twig which is inserted into the sculpture's body. The twig ultimately succumbs to strenuous environment factors by snapping which activates the sculpture to jump in the air, spin three foot arms and shoot grass seeds which grow over the course of the exhibit.
