This is the first of three videos chronicling the International Contemporary Ensemble's series of free ICElab shows at New York's (le) poisson rouge.
This concert from March 30, 2011 features the world premiere of the full song cycle written for ICE by Mario Diaz de Leon, entitled "Prism Path."
ICElab brings the musicians of ICE in collaboration with six emerging composers and sound artists annually. Rather than accept traditional commissions, these six composers partner with teams of ICE musicians in intensely collaborative incubation residencies, working together to develop new evening-length works.
